Photographing the Everest Himalaya of Nepal

It is perhaps an honour of sorts to get the opportunity to photograph the 'Top of the World' in the Mount Everest region of Nepal. While based as a photojournalist in Kathamdu, Nepal, I was lucky enough to spend three hours in the Everest region in a helicopter and then six weeks on a trek and then another year working in the region in 2006-2007.

The result of enormous effort (photographing professionally at these altitudes is far from an easy business - trying to shoot in thin air and with a 30kg plus backpack and equipment load is not for the lazy!) was a incredible portfolio of images of one of the most amazing and challenging locations on Earth.

Aside from the image above, I have a very large body of work from the Everest region which is great as creative stock to convey a sense of adventure, majesty and general awesomeness!

I also have some stunning panoramas and many great photographs of serene Tibetan Buddhist stupas and the extraordinary Shangri-La-esque landscape which is prevalent below the great peak of Everest.

If you would like to license any of these images or others from my archive of creative stock images, then please call me on +44 7790 370025 to discuss licensing.
